• Public-Private Partnerships

With decades of experience in community development, NDC HEDC has produced more than $2.0 billion worth of projects for local governments and nonprofits through a unique form of public-private partnership.

  • Public Benefit

NDC HEDC helps governments build infrastructure—municipal buildings, parking garages, student housing, biomedical research facilities—while saving money, creating jobs, and strengthening the local tax base.

  • Cost Savings

NDC HEDC emphasizes the “Public” in Public-Private Partnerships. Working on behalf of a governmental entity, we strive to reduce cost without reducing the quality of the building.

  • Our Approach

For us, Public-Private Partnership does not mean privatization. In our approach, the public facility is developed and managed by NDC on the public’s behalf.

  • Green Building

We are focused on green building and have built and maintained more than 10 LEED-certified buildings, including the Center for Urban Waters, a LEED Platinum research laboratory and office building.

OUR MISSION

NDC HEDC’s mission is to lessen the burdens of government by helping develop facilities that combat community deterioration and carry out neighborhood revitalization and community economic development.

With the public purpose at the center of our mission, we believe emphasizing the “Public” in a Public-Private Partnership is possible and necessary. It is our intent to bring the Public sector and the Private sector together in a truly collaborative process that maximizes the benefits of combining private sector expertise with the benefits of public sector financing to develop public facilities.
